(Recap: Working at the Bouncing Red Ball's PetsHotel... getting paid to play with your dogs!)
Sometimes you get a good group of dogs in Day Camp, and sometimes you get a rather bad group of dogs in Day Camp. Today was one of those not-so-good days. Various dogs acting up at various times... nothing that would warrant getting kicked out of camp for the day, but enough to keep me on my toes and my eyes constantly scanning the room (to the point where I got dizzy at one point :P).
But good day or bad day, here's an idea, kid... TAPPING ON THE GLASS IS NOT NICE!!! Yes, I know you want the dogs to look at you. Trust me, they have eyes, they will eventually notice you moving around on the other side of the window. They will bark, and run up to the window, and slam their paws and muzzles against the glass, and whimper and whine and get all riled up. I'm well aware that dogs like to do that, and it doesn't bother me if you capture their attention. In fact, I'm rather glad that you can view the room so easily, it's good for business! And sometimes, if I'm with the small dogs, I will pick one up and hold it up to the window for you to see.
However, tapping on the glass for a minute straight, harder and harder each time, causing the dogs to become even more anxious and start snapping at one another? Not cool. Not cool at all. Then I have to break things up, which means making the dogs sit or lie down until they can calm down, and you SEE me doing this, and continue to tap against the glass all the more urgently, causing them to quickly sit up and start snapping at one another all over again? D:
At least when you came back a few minutes later to do it again, and I mouthed and motioned "no" to you, you stopped. So you're not a completely lost cause. Your FATHER, on the other hand, who then began to tap on the glass right after I did this, WITH A CELL PHONE, deserves to be thrown into this day camp room. Let's see HIM deal with fifteen large, overly-energetic, slightly-agitated dogs. >:D
These two weren't the only ones to tap moreso that usual on the windows today. There was also a girl who kept tapping on the window so that I'd look at her, and she'd then point at her dog, who was in the room with me. Yes, I know that's your dog. He keeps whimpering and jumping up to get a better look at you. My supervisor also just put your dog in the room, and I saw your mom check your dog in, through that very same window. I KNOW he's your dog. Can you PLEASE stop upsetting him? His whining is getting the other dogs worked up, which causes them to pick on him, which means I have to hold the other dogs at bay, but when there are so many, I can't stop ALL of them from nipping at your dog, and this DOESN'T look good in your mother's eyes. I AM capable, dang it, but not when you're interfering with my keeping the peace! :(
